playoff series

this was a big series for us. two games against the Bullets. we had already beaten them twice or three times in the regular season so we assumed we would be able to outplay them again.
unfortunately things didnt go the way the minivans had planned it and we lost the first game 2-0 on a weak game played by us.
we came back the next game with a sense of urgency but we just couldnt come through with a win in the must-win situation.
after the second loss we were all under the impression that the season was over but i guess not. we scored a total of goals in our series and because the Whalers didnt score any goals in either game they played against the Pylons. because of this we got the wildcard spot and we play the Mighty Drunks this upcoming sunday in a one-game series. this is our shot at redemption, time to make up for the 2 embarrassing losses we had handed to us by them in the regular season. They're the top seed and we know we can beat them, we can beat any team in the division. That's why we're the defending champions.

season aint over just yet...

game 12

3rd matchup of the year vs the Whalers, and this time they really wanted to beat us. I could tell because they had 4 extra players who I have never seen play for them that they must have called up especially for this game. The Minivans were also short 3 or 4 players and it's always bad to play an early game on really hot days because the Village Arena gets pretty damn toasty, even with all the doors open and a breeeze rolling through.
I seem to have misplaced the scoresheet, or I just didnt grab it today because I ended up playing another game right after with the Bullets because they were short a handful of players so I dont know the exact order of the goals. I'm pretty sure the Whalers scored on us first and we responded a few minutes later, only to have them repsond right back. we ended up tying the game and it went to OT and Stoutey was able to snipe a pretty dirty goal through the goalie's legs right off the faceoff to give us the win.

On a sidenote, the refs were pretty bad today. some wishy washy calls that could have gone either way seemed to be only going against us. The same thing happened in the game I played with the Bullets.
Brawley got ejected for talking shit to the ref
Ross got ejected for talking shit to the ref also but he was pretty vicious. tough guy for sure.

We also managed to kill off 6 straight minutes of penalties and another 8 minutes of penalties that we had racked up in the game. I'm pretty sure the Whalers got 3 total penalties all game.

shoutouts
- whole team shoutout, good game

game 10/11

yea this is two games, not just one because i didnt really feel like blogging last week. we won game 10, which is always good, but we barely beat a team that we should have ran the score up on. they werent as good as we made them look with a narrrow 3-2 victory.
overall decent grade

on to game 11

this time im really bitter

rematch vs. the mighty drunks this week and again we lost a heartbreaker after blowing a lead with 1:30 left in the game and then losing in overtime. we were leading again 1-0 throughout the whole game and we were outplaying a younger and faster team and we were able to control the pace of the game. with that said, we couldnt seem to beat their goalie when it mattered and we let our guard down near the end of the game and it cost us.
there was no phantom icing calls this week or goals that actually went off the crossbar so no excuses. we should have beaten this team, we could have beaten this team, we couldnt come through in the clutch.
baskie got us our only goal, he had a good game.

shoutouts
muj played stellar and we didnt help him enough
the whole team played well

Game 9

I've been busy... little time to blog. not making an excuse, just saying thats why stuff is late.

ok, game 9 was against the bullets if i can remember correctly. high scoring game, pretty sure the final score was 6-6. we had lots of shots but just couldnt find the back of the net. i vivdly remember a 4 on 3 powerplay in overtime where we just couldnt hit the net. overall it wasnt a terrible game for the Minivans considering it was such a high scoring contest. cant blame the goalie, we should have been better as a team and not given them the chances we did. that shits just turrible.
shoutouts
- just one shoutout to the whole team

game 8

im bitter. the minvans finally lost and had the refs been watching the game we would have won.
final score was 2-1 in overtime off of a goal that actually only hit the crossbar and didnt go into the net at all.
the refs also called icing on us with 1 minute left in the game when one of their players clearly touched the ball after we fired it out of our zone and that icing call resulted in the tying goal.
like i said... pretty bitter
The Mighty Drunks are a good young team but we can beat them.

Game 7

We had been trying for 2 weeks to reschedule today's game for a later time so that we might be have kotch, bev, cow, and jason back from europe to play for us but no dice. 6pm game time, earliest we've ever played and it didnt really make a difference to us how many players we were missing. we had a total of 9 players on our bench today, 2 full forward lines and 3 defencemen. 1 less player than we had last week and the result was the same. another game, another victory for the Minivans. we're 7-0-0 now and if we can beat a team with only 9 players then i cant wait till we have a full team again.
Our opponent this week was the Pylons, we've played them quite a few times over the past 3 years and the games have always been exciting. We had Baskie in net today because Muj cant play earlier games and Iain also came out to play again for us because we needed him. overall a solid game by the whole team. The Hackett, Stoutey, and Kev Jonhston line connected for 3 goals on their very first shift, in the span of 56 seconds and that pretty much set the pace for the rest of the game.
even with us down 6/7 players we were still able to control the tempo of the game and effectively shut down a team with atleast 3 more players than us. the ability of our forwards to cycle the ball properly in their zone tired the Pylons down pretty well and gave us the upper hand because by the third period they were barely running anymore and we still had plenty of gas left in the tank.
ok so, as far as boxscore goes, kevin had 2 goals, so did stoute, and then in the third hackett sniped a beauty wrister past the keeper to make it 5-1 and we knew by that time we had the W.
Whenever Baskie plays net for us we know that we wont need many goals to get a win because he can single handedly win a game for us.
our team has now allowed 10 goals in the first 7 games of the season. not too shabby.
we have also scored the most goals out of any team and we're still undefeated. thats the only stat that matters. 7-0-0.

shoutouts.
- shoutout to Baskie, thanks for comin through and playing net when we needed you. solid game, as expected
- shoutout to Iain. another solid game by you as well as a call-up. maybe you should play on sunday more often. good hustle
- shoutout to vernoy, kells and iain because they were the only defence we had all game and managed to stop any real threat the Pylons would muster
- shoutout to the whole team. good win Minivans.

games 5 and 6

i've been slacking, i know.
game 5 was decent, nothing amazing by any means though. we played the titans and what should have been a resounding victory for us ended up being barely a victory for us. we won 3-2 on a close game that could have very well gone the other way had they hit the net instead of hitting posts but thats all done and finished now and we got the win. thats all that matters.

game 6 seemed as though it was going to be a little tougher because we were up against the Whalers, and we were missing 5 players from our team; kotchie, beavan, cowin, megit (all in europe) and jeremy (sick??) and then also little brawley. so we were actually missing 6 guys but no biggie. Iain came through in the clutch and played for us and since we were down so many guys i had to play defence with him. my first shift was atrocious and it resulted in their first, and only, goal of the game. it took a little while but after that i got a feel for defence and Iain and I played a solid game. Vernoy and Kells also played a solid game as the other 2 defencemen. we had a total of 10 guys and a goalie so it was exactly 2 full lines. oh yea, did i mention that we had BASKIE playing forward for us?? yea, desperate times call for desperate measures and he had one of the best forward games i've ever seen him play. he was setting up goals left right and center. pretty sure he logged either 3 or 4 assists on the 6 goals so thats always a bonus. he wanted a goal badly but im sure he's ok with a handful of helpers.

from the moment of the first goal the whole team turned it up a notch and brought the heat to the Whalers. we scored 6 unanswered goals and the final score was 6-1 for us, yet another victory and that was good enough to run our current streak to 6 wins to start the season now. big things.

special shoutout to muj for shutting the door after the first goal and allowing us to get a win.
special shoutout to Iain for playing for us. i was glad to have a defence partner as solid as him to back me up. i didnt worry once throughout the game because i knew he had my back.
special shoutout to baskie for playing forward for us, while he was wasted, and getting atleast 3 assists, maybe more. good game bud, you were pro style for sure.
special shoutout to stoute, johnston, and hackett too, solid line.
actually, special shoutout to the whole minivans team on this one. we played a solid game as a whole and considering we were missing 6 players we played stellar.

good game team.

Minivans 6-0-0

game 5 preview

this week we're playing the Titans on sunday at 8pm. this is a team we've played numerous times in the past 2 years and i was able to pull up the scores from last year and i'm seeing a trend here...
in 3 games we beat them 3 times and outscored them 18-2 last year.
lets not get ahead of ourselves though. who knows, maybe they have a whole new team. all i know for sure is that they're 0-4-0 so far and i'd like to help them get to 5 losses. i know the rest of the Minivans want to help them out also. and we'd also like to run our own streak to 5 straight wins to start the season.

another big game ahead of us this upcoming sunday

game 4 - summer season

another sunday night game... you know what that means!!
another solid game played by The Minivans and yet another victory to run our record to 4-0-0 to start the season. this game was a close one though and we were lucky to get the win and not have to settle for a tie.
We were playing the Redmen, who were called the Wedding Crashers 2 years ago when they slaughtered us. the team was pretty much the same with a few changes. their goalie was a new one.

the game started off pretty even, both teams were tied for scoring chances in the first 8 minutes. they got the first goal with 4:33 left in the first off a weak goal and we responded a minute and a half later on a nice goal by younger brawley.
by the start of the second period you could tell the extra players on our bench were helping us out because the Redmen were getting pretty tired and only one period had passed. by the midway point of the second period we were out-shooting them, controlling the pace of the game and pretty much dictating what was happening.
no goals in the second period, but we got plenty of scoring chances. stouty missed a tap in on an empty net and made up for it in the third period when he scored a nice goal to put us up 2-1.

we were in complete control all of the third until the refs started to call some iffy penalties in the last 5 minutes. we got called on 3 penalties in the final 4:40 of the game and all we could do was try to block the point shots they kept taking from the point. we were doing pretty well until the last penalty called on us. the Redmen scored with a minute left in the game to tie it up and we were still on the penalty kill the last minute and 1 minute into overtime.

our penalty kill was pretty good in overtime considering it was 4 on 3 and we managed to kill the penalty off and bring some more heat to the Redmen. Ross told Hackett he wanted to go on for the overtime and he seemed pretty confident in himself so hackett sat with johnston while jeremy and ross went out there and proceeded to score the game-winner. it was pretty exciting and looks like ross was right.

shoutouts
- special shoutout to Baskie, he was playing in net for us because Muj had to work and he played flawlessly. good game bud
- shoutout to Jeremy Carr, nice goal to get us the win in OT
- shoutout to Ross, he had a few nice blocked shots and was playing really well this week
- shoutout to The Minivans, good game team, solid win

lets keep this streak going.

game 4 preview

this week we play the Redmen, the weak thing about it is that we have to go all the way to commander arena in scarborough. thats all the way out at McCowan road, kind of a pain but oh well. i dont know if we've played this team yet but we arent worried. the minivans are never worried.
The Redmen are 1-2 this year and they have lost 2 straight. their GF is 13 and GA is 12 so they dont have a very good +/- ratio with respect to goals. lets hope we can make that ratio a little worse come sunday.

Minivans going for that 4th straight win. big things...

game 3, summer season

another game, and yet another Minivans victory. this time to the dismay of The Roadrunners, who seem to be almost an entirely new team than the roadrunners team we played last year. different jerseys and everything, and they're mostly old dudes now instead of an actual good young team. unless i just have a terrible memory and its the exact same team as last year, yea that could be the case.

that aside, we went out there expecting a pretty evenly matched game and that wasnt the case at all. although the score might suggest it.
we outplayed them from the first whistle to the last and if it wasnt for some great saves their goalie made it would have been 6 or 7 to 2 instead of 4-2 final score.

lots of good playing from the team as a whole. kells had a dirty goal where he batted the ball out of the air. hackett had a snipe over the goalie's shoulder from like 5 feet in on a play that older brawley helped set up. brawley sr. also goat the first goal for us. i cant remember who got our other goal and the scoresheet guy fucked up on it. i think it was cowin? not sure but if someone knows and reads this let me know.

the two goals they scored were pretty much the only chances they got. muj made a couple huge saves but overall he wasnt too tested in the game. i remember him joking around that he was bored with about 5 minutes to go in the game. one of the goals was a shitty turnover by one of us in our end and the dude just snapped it top corner by muj, the other was a a breakaway on a lead pass to one of the guys that was floating up near our blue line all game. they had a few guys that were cherry picking during the game waiting for lead passes and i tried to yell it out and let guys know when they would do it. kinda of a cheap way of playing but it works so hey. i wouldnt use that strategy though.

overall a good game and another win. 3-0-0 for the season

Shoutouts

- muj is tops in the league right now for goalies. 4 goals allowed over 3 games, pretty good!
- it appears that bugging and harassing Beavan to take shots from the points has actually paid off and he's started to take some shots, and good ones too. its only a matter of time till he snipes and goal off a slapshot from the point
- ross played his heart out again this week. good hustle, he was beating everyone to every race.
- good game by jeremy, he had some good chances.
- good game by stabs, good hustle bud.
- big night by older brawley, 1 G and 2A, solid game. he played his ass off this week also and it was nice to see some good chemistry with his brother. also because thats the line i'm on so it helps me too.
- shoutout to the whole team, good win.

next game

next sunday we play the Roadrunners. We havent played them since last summer and our overall record against them is 1-0-0. good news for us, we're one of the only teams in our division that played during the offseason so we're warmed up and other teams arent. go time baby, lets keep this streak going.

Game 1 and 2 - Summer Season

I've been busy with school and such and haven't gotten around to doing these yet so I decided to combine weeks one and two into one post.

Game 1 we were up against our rival The Whalers and considering how good they were last year, I didnt expect the result that happened. It was a route, we won 4-0 and we outplayed them like it was our job. Muj played amazingly well in net and secured a shutout and we played solid offensively as well as defensively. I got a goal on my first shift on my first shot which felt pretty good. Hackett scored as well, and brawley got one on a pass by me. the other goal for us was by Cowin on a solid play in front of the net. overall a good game and we sure showed them who's the Boss. in other news, Beavan almost scored a beauty of a goal that would have been the highlight of the season in the first game. he loaded up a slapshot from the point that just barely hit the crossbar and stayed out but it was a beauty shot. i was surprised because he never takes shots. maybe he should more often if thats the type of heat he's packing.

Game 2 was more of the same. Goals were scored by Stouty, Jonhston, Brawley and Hackett and it was a solid 4-2 win for us over The Bullets. another good team from last year.
jr. brawley is back playing with us which is nice to see because the brothers play so well together. i was on a line with them and we were on the floor for 2 of the goals so i know that this is an effective line. we were missing jason because he's on a work trip. i think he's in Brazil right now.

sorry about the short post. next week's will be better.

Shoutouts

special shoutout to stabs, good to have him back playing with us full time.
another special shoutout to kotchie's new shorts. goodbye to the plaid cargo shorts with 17 pockets and now he can actually show off his speed with proper shorts on. he played a solid game and put the pressure on the bullets when we needed him to.
special mention to Ross as well, he was a grinder yesterday and really helped us secure the victory with him playing his ass off.

playoffs

yesterday was our first and only playoff game of the spring season and had we known from the offset that this was the only game we would be playing and that it was for all the marbles (the marbles being the thursday B or C championship), I like to think we may have played with a little more urgency throughout the game.

Although we won the game, we and specifically I made some silly mistakes throughout the first two periods that could have easily cost us the game had it not been for some great goaltending and back-checking. One upside from this game is that the only goals the other team scored were on the powerplay and they couldnt compare with us at even strength.

The first period of the game was pretty fast paced and we set the tempo early. lots of shots and scoring chances but we couldnt bury and they couldnt muster much of an attack. the only real chances they had were shitty outlet passes to the few quick players they had. They did, however, get on the board first after I took a mindless high sticking penalty. I wasnt even thinking when I did it, they tried to clear the ball from their zone and the guy shot it high and I instinctively raised my stick to stop it. I actually stopped the ball which felt pretty good then I realized that was against the rules and was kicking myself all the way to the box. The other team was able to set up and we werent pressuring much and a shot from the point resulted in a rebound that was tapped home for a 1-0 lead.

The second period was more of the same, lots of chances for us but we couldnt beat their goalie. he was playing pretty well now that i think about it. Ross took a phantom interference call and went to the box and the other team was able to cycle yet again and set up with a big guy in front of the net and there wasnt much Maj could do when he got the rebound.

The third period we still had plenty of gas in the tank and the other team was starting to show signs of fatigue thanks to their short bench and we got many more chances. eventually it got to them waiting for us to come down the floor and, either letting their goalie make a huge save or watching us shoot it way wide. then they would get the rebound, get past the blue line and fire it down the floor. Stabs, who was still recovering from his surgery was watching the game and went home in the first period to grab his gear incase he needed it. he showed back up around 12min left in the game and got ready. we were finally able to beat their goalie with 6:15 left in the game. Stoute got a nice goal, then Cowin potted one 2 minutes later to tie it up. we had them on their heels down to the wire and Hackett came through clutch and sealed the deal for us with 11 seconds left in the game. comeback complete, game over.

overall we played a decent game but almost got shut out by a mediocre goalie. summer season starts this weekend. aint no break for the Minivans.

Special shoutout to Stabs. You're a trooper bud, no one is as tough as you. and i mean no one. MVP of the game just because he played while still recovering from hernia surgery, and he set up hackett on the winning goal.

good season team

game vs The Red Army (who actually wear black outfits instead of red... wierd)

Like i said in the title, we played the Red Army on thursday. big game to see if we could grab 2nd place from the Ducks or Rampage and had we won, we would right now be tied for first in the division. with that said, you now know that we didnt win, but we didnt lose either. overall the game wasnt terrible, we were outplaying them for most of the game and they had a short bench so essentially, we should have gotten the W. we started off well enough and had a 2-0 lead after the first and then we were able to extend it to 3-0 but after that things started to go downhill. they got 1 and after that they played with a renewed energy and managed to tie the game up and put it into overtime. the overtime proved nothing and we left bitter with ourselves after we could have and should have beaten a team that isnt as good as us.

thats all for now.

good job team regardless. lets win more

game 7 - spring season

another solid game by the minivans and another resounding victory to put us back over .500 for the first time since week 3. feels good winning, it feels even better when i score, which doesnt happen often but did happen this week so im feelin pretty winning right now.

we were playing the worst team in the league The Broken Sticks and knew coming into the game that we couldnt take this team for granted because you never know what's going to happen.
we started off the game well and we were up 3-0 by the end of the first period. Iain Anderson sniped a goal from the point on a beauty slapshot, Stoute lit the lamp on a nice shot and Kells got a goal too.

the second period was more of the first. my line of jason, jeremy and I, or jeremy, me, and whoever on center was bringing lots of heat and pressure to the other team and we were getting really close to potting a goal but had not thus far in the game. regardless, we were leading 4-0 at the end of the second and it was starting to look like a route. Stoutey got the goal for us in the second, on his second of the game on a nice set-up by Hackett.

Finally in the third period I was able to get that monkey off my shoulders and snipe a goal for the first time in a long long while. talk about slumps, this one was starting to piss me off. i got absolutely robbed earlier in the game on a wrap-around so this was sweet revenge. I roofed it over the goalie's glove on a beauty pass by Jeremy and just like that it was 5-0. I celebrated when i shouldn't have after my goal and it fired the other team up and they proceeded to pot 3 goals before the end to make the final score 5-3 for the Minivans.

all in all, we got the W and thats all that really matters. another good game by Ross, he's getting back into the groove of things and getting his speed back. he'll be sniping cheese in no time. good game by Heavy Beavy too, he played well on defence and I have still yet to see him take a shot in the past 4 seasons. good game by the goalie, like always. everyone played really well and we ran shit. Stabs is done for atleast 6 weeks now because he just had his hernia surgery so special shoutout to him, get better soon bud.

Good win team.

its been a few weeks, im slacking

yea, so, like the title implies, ive been slacking.
also, on a sidenote. the minivans lost 3 games in a row after a good start so i didnt really feel like writing about our failures. we finally won again to get back in the win column and im pretty sure we're 3-3 now.
ross smiley is back on the team and im glad. we missed him and his fast legs on the floor. its nice to have a speedster back and he's enjoying himself this year so that's great. he's still getting up to game speed, hasnt played too many so far but he's slowly getting his feet back under him and once that happens, watch out opposing defenders. can you say chip and chase and burn the D everytime?? because i can.

ok, sooo...
we lost to rampage 3-2 in the 3rd week. a game that i missed because i was at the Method Man concert and apparently we got outplayed and the refs missed one of their goals and it should have actually been 4-2. no biggie, the guys said we can beat them.

then the next week we had 2 games, one on tuesday and we got slaughtered 6-0 by a really good tuesday team. they were made up of a few guys from the roadrunners in our summer league and some other really good players.

thursday we lost to Weedman and it was a pretty bad game but we might be able to beat them if we can play like a team.

we finally got the W this past thursday against the Lincoln Park Net Intruders and it wasnt a very pretty game. we were down 1-0 for most of the game until the Hackett, Cheese and Stoutey line came to life in the 3rd and potted 2 goals for us in 17 seconds. after that we played well and held on for the win.

overall, 3 bad games and 1 good game. we're better than this, we need to win from now on. no more of this losing shit, i think im allergic to it.

game 2 - spring season

another game, another resounding victory for The Minivans. this week we played the Warriors and they've got a decent team but we've got a better team.

kevin johnston started off with a strong first shift alongside stoute and stabs and they scored 19 seconds into the game. kevin got the goal and the other two guys got assists. kevin got another goal 3 minutes later and put us up 2-0 and then stabsy lit the lamp with 36 seconds left in the first to end the period with us leading 3-0.

we let the warriors get back into the game in the second when dutch got called on a slash and they cycled the ball and put it past Maj but we responded back with a goal by hackett to make it 4-1 to end the second period.

stabs sniped another goal at 7:30 of the third period to put us up 5-1 and we were cruisin from then on. we took another penalty on a body checking call by cowin and the warriors scored again to make it 5-2 but it was all but over by then. stoute scored with 4 minutes left in the game and we ended the game 6-2.

overall a good win today by the minivans.

we were missing kotch, jeremy and jason today so we played well with a short bench.

good win

first game of the winter/spring season

well, its great to be back playing again with the team. we have undergone a minor roster change due to the fact that brawleys cant play, as well as baskie, iain and ross (effective middle of last season). Our team has remained pretty similar though from the one that took home the championship last year (still waiting for our trophies). We have Majuren Subramaniam (for ease of reading I'll be using Maj for short) playing in net for us this year in place of the injured/post-surgery Baskie, and we're confident playing in front of him.
the date of the game was March 17th, i know i'm slightly late but oh well.
We were all itching to get back on the floor and get playing again so this game couldnt come soon enough and when it finally did it felt great. oh yea, and we also play on thursdays this season instead of sundays.
We were playing the Mighty Ducks, last year's champs for the thursday division and before the game the convener mentioned to one of our players that he was picking the Ducks to win it all again this year. needless to say that may have annoyed some of the Minivans players and we obviously wanted to start the season off with a win to prove the convener wrong.

i was playing defence for this game and i played absolutely terrible. being sick probably didnt help me at all and i was dying on the bench following my first shift.

the Ducks opened the scoring at 7:26 of the first period. after the initial goal we were able to slow them down and pretty much control the pace of the game. we were the better team from the start and it showed by the way we were keeping the ball in their zone for most of the first 2 periods. by the start of the 3rd it was still 1-0 for them and we had gotten several scoring chances but no finish. stabs hit a post and a crossbar while kevin and stoute both had really good scoring chances, as well as hackett.

The Mighty Ducks notched their second of the game 30 seconds into the 3rd period but we responded with a goal of our own 20 seconds later. they scored again to make it 3-1 and oh yea, i forgot to mention the fact that both their 2nd and 3rd goals were entirely my fault. i take blame for them, i was kicking myself on the bench and felt like an absolute idiot.
anyways, enough about me dropping the ball, after cowin got our first goal and the Ducks responded back to go ahead by 2 again we started to play the Minivans hockey that we were used to playing last year when we won it all.
Stoute lit the lamp a minute after they got their 3rd to pull us within 1 goal, and then with 4 minutes left in the game hackett sniped a beauty goal. then proceeded to stay on the floor after scoring and scored another a minute later to put us ahead 4-3. they pulled their goalie in the last moments but couldnt get anything going after we grabbed all the momentum. they looked distraught and pretty demoralized out there. by that time they were really pissed off and one of the Ducks took a run at Kells and dropped him on his ass with a pretty dirty hit with about 15 seconds left and that resulted in a scrum and there were offsetting penalties called and they were slapped with another penalty because of the dirty play.

we won, and thats the only thing that really matters. Minivans start the season off 1-0 and we're looking to continue that streak next thursday. the one upside of beating last year's champions the very first week is that we had the latest game so a few of our players went to the rink beforehand to watch some of the other teams and from the looks of it, we've got one of the best if not the best team in the division.

almost forgot to mention, we got a new player, Jeremy Carr. he played a great game and i'm glad he decided to join our team. good game.

good win team, lets keep it up vs the warriors on thursday.

spring season

alright so this is gonna be sort of a a pre-season to get us ready for the real summer season. 8 games, smaller size team (i think) and we're missing our real goalie.
we might not be using the minivans name, im not sure yet and will find out when we start. our first game is march 17th and the team as a whole is looking forward to getting this started and seeing if our team can still dominate. i'm not sure what league or level we're playing but i guess i'll find out on the 17th.

hoping to get some sort of an idea on the roster soon and then ill get it added up here.

the season starts anew

well well well, its been quite the little break over the past 4-5ish months.
minivans are still champs, thats whats up.
the season starts again on march 6th and this is a big year for our team. we've got a title to defend and lots of goals as far as progressing into a good team. I'm only speaking for myself when i say this but I want us to go undefeated this year. I'm sure all the other guys on the team want it too but more realistically, i want us to have atleast a .800 winning average this year. preferably a 9 to 1 ratio of wins to losses would be nice. it would give us a pretty damn good seed for the playoffs.

on a side note, I still dislike the fact that I didnt get a goal last year. I like to think its because i went with a cage on my bucket for the first time in ball hockey and the peripheral vision i have is much different. i'm thinkin of goin back to no cage and maybe i'll light the lamp once or twice this year... hopefully.

Baskie is back and fully healed from his surgery so that shouldnt be a problem or issue for concern at all this year.

more to come.
